In november of 2017, I met Tomo of My Young Animal at his record shop in Tokyo and the next night my band played a show with CHIIO. Both bands create beautiful shimmering indie rock. Fast forward to spring of 2019 and Tomo asked if i would design this split release from both bands. I was thrilled to do so. He had a basic idea of the art he wanted. In 2016 I had designed a European tour poster for some friends from Scotland, and he was hoping for something in the same aesthetic. It was so fun to revisit this art and design approach.
