A true honor to be asked to design the merchandise line for Gusters, ‘On The Ocean’ festival this year. We created a wide variety of designs based upon visual themes including Portland Maine, Maritimes and Vacationland. Items ranged from: T-Shirts, Hoodies, tote-bags, magnets, koozies and lobster eating bibs! No music festival set on the ocean in Maine would be complete without a Lobster eating experience. While we were not able to attend, we’ve kindly borrowed a few photos from the internet to show the work. If by chance a photo is yours and you would like it removed please let us know and we’ll do so, asap. Learn more about the festival and stay updated for next years!
Located in the Yanaguana Garden in San Antonio’s Hemisfair park, Blue Cat Yoga & Healing Arts derives it's name from the creation story of the Yanaguana, a Payaya Indian village on the San Antonio River. There, lived a blue panther in a blue hole. One day, a water bird flew into the hole where the panther lived…“And the water bird shot out of the blue hole and opened its wings and the droplets from the blue hole fell across the land, which gave life to the area”
The goal of this project was to create an identity which was centered between the historical cultural importance of the Yanaguana as well as the cultural symbolism of Yoga. The concepts are married with the illustrated cat or blue panther. Crowned with a lotus flower; representing being grounded in the natural world but aspiring towards the divine, eyes created using the Svadhishthana Chakra which brings clarity and development of the personality and adorned with a crescent moon; linked with the creative power of the mother goddess.
Through an iterative process we created a system of logos and elements to be used across various signage, apparel and brand collateral pieces.
Palo Duro Landscaping Co. is located high in the Texas hill country. Specializing in native plants and xeriscaping, we wanted to reflect this native simplicity with the brand. The color palette is pulled straight from a photo of the Texas sunrise, providing the design elements with a bright and earthy feel. Palo Duro's brand is natural, simple and honest.
Branding and various marketing collateral for Southerleigh Brewery & Restaurant in San Antonio TX.
The restaurant building was originally Pearl’s Brewhouse, built in 1894 and a San Antonio landmark ever since. In April 2015, Award winning Chef Jeff Balfour brought a new concept to the historic Pearl’s brewhouse with the opening of his restaurant, Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery. The restaurant, which is Balfour’s modern take on Texas’ cross-cultural cuisine, is influenced by the coastal classics of Chef Balfour’s upbringing in Galveston married with the comfort of southern cuisine.
Though we did not create their brand, we work carefully within it’s guidelines to push the visual aesthetic in a fun way. Developing illustration elements which celebrate both the historic location as well as the award winning food and beer they produce.
